Play Golf

Social Golf

The course is open from dawn till dusk, seven days a week. Other than large social groups, no bookings are required.

The course is available for social play on the following days and times:

  • SUNDAY: All Day
  • MONDAY: All Day
  • TUESDAY: From 12.30 pm
  • WEDNESDAY: From 12.30 pm
  • THURSDAY: All Day
  • FRIDAY: All Day
  • SATURDAY: From 3.00 pm

Green Fees & Cart Hire

Social green fees are as follows:

  • 18 HOLES: $50.00 for Visitors and $20.00 for Playing Members
  • 9 HOLES: $35.00 for Visitors and $20.00 for Playing Members
  • JUNIORS: $15.00 (under 17 years) and $5.00 for Junior Members


A limited number of carts are available for hire:

  • 18 HOLES: $55.00 for Visitors and $35.00 for Playing Members
  • 9 HOLES: $35.00 for Visitors and $25.00 for Playing Members

Note that a valid full driver’s licence is required for driving and hiring carts.

Clubs and buggies are also available for hire:

  • CLUBS ONLY: $20.00
  • BUGGY ONLY: $5.00
  • CLUBS & BUGGY: $20.00

Payment may be made in the golf shop during the following hours:

  • SATURDAY: From 8.00 am
  • SUNDAY: 9.00 am to 2.00 pm
  • MONDAY: Closed (Except on Public Holidays)
  • TUESDAY TO FRIDAY: 9.30 am to 3.00 pm

When the golf shop is closed, payments may be made :

  • BY CARD: Via the Golf Tap N Go Payments terminal on the south wall of the golf shop
  • BY CASH: Via an envelope placed into the box on the wall of the golf sh
Golf Carts

Competition Times

Competition days and times are as follows, and visitors with a current GA handicap are welcome to play (unless there is a special club event):

  • TUESDAY: Various Veterans Competitions from 9.00 am (8.00 am in summer)
  • WEDNESDAY: Various Women’s Competitions from 9.00 am ( 8.00 am in summer)
  • SATURDAY: Various Medley Events from 8.00 am, with the Monthly Medal being played on the first Saturday of every month


Competition fees are $35.00 (unless there is a special event).

Want to join a competition? For Tuesdays and Wednesdays, just turn up 30 minutes before the tee time (there are roll-up events). For Saturday, timesheets are located on the board near the bar in the clubhouse. For more information, email admin@gloucestercountryclub.com.au.

A Super Sevens competition is also run during the week, which is open to playing members for a fee of $20.00

For women keen to learn golf, Gloucester Birdies is a beginner group that meets each Monday morning. Email gloucesterladiesgolf@gmail.com for more details.

The Course

This is more than a short country course but a full-length, championship 9 – with two Par 5s, two Par 3s and five Par 4s with different tees.

The holes take you uphill, downhill, over or past water hazards, hitting into the small Bent grass greens with subtle undulations that can frustrate the best golfers.

The signature hole is the 355m, Par 4, 5th hole. With Out of Bounds all down the left, your tee shot is downhill, straight into the face of The Bucketts, where a hard right-hand bend opens you up to the green.

The Scorecard

The Blue Course measures 6075m with a Scratch Rating of 72 and a Slope Rating of 132.
The Red Course measures 5308m with a Scratch Rating of 74 and a Slope Rating of 138.
